BOND Enzyme Pretreatment Kit consists of an enzyme concentrate and an enzyme diluent, which require mixing. The enzyme is diluted before use in the BOND Open Containers supplied. The diluted enzyme solution is used for enzymatic digestion on the automated BOND system.

The Bond Enzyme Pretreatment Kit can be used for enzymatic digestion on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections to assist in epitope exposure. Enzymatic pretreatment can improve the staining of some antibodies by exposing epitopes within tissue that have been masked during fixation.

The diluted enzyme solution can also be used for ISH, along with BOND ready-to-use probes. Enzymatic digestion of tissue assists in the penetration of probes and facilitates binding.
