SPB^®-PUFA Capillary GC Column was used during the fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) analyses, in an experimental investigation done to prove ω6 docosapentaenoic acid as an essential fatty acid.

Application: This column provides the necessary polarity for analyses of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) as fatty acid methyl esters (FAME). This column is specifically tuned to provide highly reproducible analyses. USP Code: This column meets USP G18 requirements. Phase: Bonded Poly(alkylene glycol) Temp. Limits: 50 °C to 220 °C (isothermal or programmed)

Capillary GC column is also known as open tubular column. The carrier gas flows through the central aperture and is unrestricted throughout the length of the column.
